Who Am I
Landscape Projects is led by Paul Southan, bringing more than 20 years of real world experience across landscape and pool construction, project management, advisory and industry consulting throughout New Zealand.
Over the course of his career, Paul has worked across some of the country’s leading landscape companies and has been involved in the delivery of numerous award winning residential projects ranging from complex engineered landscapes through to high end outdoor living environments and swimming pools.
His experience spans all aspects of the industry including construction, procurement, pricing, contractor coordination, project management, sales and client advisory. This broad industry background allows him to provide practical independent guidance based on how projects are actually delivered in the real world.
Paul was the first landscaper to win the national Young Landscaper of the Year award twice and also achieved the highest placing ever by a landscaper in the Young Horticulturist of the Year competition on two separate occasions. He continues to remain actively involved within the industry through consulting, judging, speaking and advisory roles.
Today, through Landscape Projects, Paul works alongside homeowners, contractors and industry businesses to help create better project outcomes through clearer communication, stronger organisation and practical industry expertise.

My Story
Landscape Projects was built from the belief that landscape and pool projects can be delivered in a far more organised, transparent and collaborative way than the traditional model often seen within the industry.
Over time, I saw many projects struggle with communication gaps, unclear pricing, poor coordination and a lack of independent oversight between the client, contractors and consultants involved. I wanted to create a business focused on improving that experience through clearer processes, practical support and professional project coordination.
The goal of Landscape Projects is simple: help people make better decisions, create smoother project experiences and deliver better overall outcomes through independent management, advisory and consulting services tailored to each individual project or business.
